  My Favourite Singer - Pandit  W. D. Amaradeva Most of my friends say I have a very classical music taste. When look in to my favourite singers list Pandit Amaradewa is the most favourite singer of all time. Sri Lankabhimanya Wannakuwattawaduge Don Albert Perera better known by his adopted name Amaradeva, was a prominent Sri Lankan Sinhalese vocalist, violinist and composer. Primarily using traditional instruments like sitars, tablas and harmoniums, he incorporated Sinhala folk music with Indian ragas in his work. Many consider his contribution to the development of Sinhala music as unmatched; hence, he is occasionally cited as the "Maestro of Sri Lankan Music". Sinharaja Rain Forest Sri Lanka is blessed with many of wonderful nature recourses. Among them Sinharaja is one the amazing nature's gift with remarkable benefits. Sinharaja is a Rain Forest and a biodiversity hotspot which is located in south west lowland wet zone within Sabaragamu and Southern provinces of Sri Lanka. Sinharaja rain forest is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rain forest. It covers an area of 11,000 Ha of primary and secondary forests. This narrow strip of rolling site comprises of a series of ridges and valleys. More than 60% of the trees are endemic to Sinharaja Forest and many of them are considered rare. There is much endemic wildlife, especially birds but the reserve is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of butterflies & mammals and also many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians. Ridiyagama Safari Park  During last vacation me and my family decided to went on a trip to Kataragama. On our way we thought to visit the Ridiyagama Safari Park.  There were safari buses and jeeps to travel in to the park. A tourist guide came along with us to explain the details regarding the park and the animals. T hese are some of the facts that I found after visiting the park. Ridiyagama Safari Park  is 500 acre safari park, zoo in  Ridiyagama  area of Hambantota District, Sri Lanka.  The Safari Park is divided into several sections holding different animals found worldwide.
