Yala National park.

                                                               Yala National Park.

🐦 Yala is largest national park in sri lanka. It is located in the southeast dry zone. It is located about 300 km from the capital city. Yala National Park belongs to Uva Province and Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The park is divided into 5 sections. It is possible to watch only two parts of it. Although most of the reserve is fallow land, this is a park with a variety of ecosystems including woodlands, coastal protected areas, springs, rivers and scrublands. These scrublands are populated by scattered rocky outcrops. The park provides habitat for a large number of animal species. Yala Reserve has the largest leopard population in the world. However, large animals that behave at night have to work hard to find their prey. Among the large animals that live here are elephants, crocodiles, wild boars, buffaloes, and gray rhinos. Also, sandcock, koha, and peacocks are common in this park.

🐦The wildlife conservation center and the tourist bungalow were destroyed by the tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004, and lives were lost. Here the damage to animal life is very minimal. Yala National Park was declared on 25 February 1983 as one of the oldest national parks in Sri Lanka.

🐦A dry mixed evergreen forest prevails here. There are also thickets associated with thorn bushes. Grasslands are also located here. Plants like Buruta, Veera, Palu Maila, Halmilla are abundant. Coastal plant communities and sand dune ecosystems can also be seen. Protecting this environment is our responsibility.

     Thank you very much.....
